Historic Valier Lodge near Lake Francis

Quiet farming community home. Positive: We appreciated the three bedroom home, and with antiques in each room. Interesting reading about the history of the home and the doctor who used to live there. Negative: A bit of delay getting fresh sheets on the bed and towels in the bathroom, but after a phone call, all was taken care of and the cleaning staff did a great job. The smoke detector in the kitchen and dining room need new batteries. The 9 volt tray was open and empty. During the Wednesday night rain storm a leak formed and water came in through the woodstove ceiling pipe. Should be assessed and possibly new caulking applied. Might be time to upgrade the mattress in the master bedroom. Unpaved side-streets can kick up dust in front of the house.
