Historic Valier Lodge near Lake Francis

Not fit for rent Positive: Nothing Negative: There are no bed sheets for three of total four beds

We had a wonderful stay at this quaint historic home. It fit our large family on our trip to Glacier. We enjoyed all the historic pictures and books around the home. Justin was a wonderful host- he was in constant contact when there was an issue beyond his control, but he pushed hard to have the house ready for us. The master bedroom had no AC, though the other 2 bedrooms did. Also, the room with 2 beds comes right off the kitchen and has no door. It worked just fine for our kids but may not work for others who want more privacy.

The space was comfortable, clean, and family-friendly. We had a few concerns that were acknowledged and i assume will be addressed by the time we return :)

No key so our belongings were left unsecured whole stay. The cleaning process clearly wasn’t finished from prior renters.

Quiet farming community home. Positive: We appreciated the three bedroom home, and with antiques in each room. Interesting reading about the history of the home and the doctor who used to live there. Negative: A bit of delay getting fresh sheets on the bed and towels in the bathroom, but after a phone call, all was taken care of and the cleaning staff did a great job. The smoke detector in the kitchen and dining room need new batteries. The 9 volt tray was open and empty. During the Wednesday night rain storm a leak formed and water came in through the woodstove ceiling pipe. Should be assessed and possibly new caulking applied. Might be time to upgrade the mattress in the master bedroom. Unpaved side-streets can kick up dust in front of the house.
